Elements of insecticide are mainly the same as those in agrichemicals and some elements (permethrin, cypermethrin) of those products are endocrine disruptors.
Mosquito repellents containing diethyltoluamide(DEET) are not recommended for use by infants, even though they are produced for infants. The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare of Japan recently restricted the use of them for infants less than 6 months old for fear of side effects such as dermatitis.
